It is the ideal soil preparation product for new lawns, gardens and vegetable beds based on sandy soil.
Kaolin Clay
Kaolin clay amends sandy soils by increasing water retention, enhancing soil structure, and providing essential minerals for plant growth.
Mature Compost
Mature compost enriches soil by adding organic matter, improving soil structure, increasing nutrient availability, and fostering beneficial microbial activity.
Organic Fertilisers
Silts, and rock minerals enhance soil fertility and biological activity by providing essential nutrients and promoting microbial diversity.
Holds Water
Kaolin clay increases soils water-holding capacity by creating fine particles that absorb and retain moisture, preventing rapid water loss.
For Garden Beds & Lawns prepare the area by removing all weeds, rocks and debris. To achieve a soil clay content of 5% distribute one bag of Baileys Clay & Compost evenly over 1m2. Work well into the top 100mm with a rotary hoe or garden fork. Water well.
For Tree & Shrub Planting spread 1-2 bags over 1m2 and mix to a depth of 200-300mm.Dig a hole twice as large as the root ball, plant and backfill with amended soil. Water well.
